|A Magnet Powerup from Mega Run: Redford's Adventure|
|First appearance||Mega Jump|
|Latest appearance||Mega Run: Redford's Adventure|
|Effect||Allows player to attract Coins to themselves.|
The Magnet is a Powerup that made it's debut in Mega Jump. As it's name suggests, it surrounds the player in a gravitational force field that automatically sucks up Coins and other Items for the player to obtain. Magnets are arguably the the Powerup that is the most effective in Coin caching.
Mega JumpEditIn Mega Jump, Magnets are one the Powerups that have to be unlocked. Magnets may be purchased with 250 Mega Points, with an additional 250 more for each additional upgrade.
Mega Run: Redford's AdventureEdit
Magnets reappear in Mega Run: Redford's Adventure. However, upgrades they are more useful in this game, as the Super and Turbo Magnets convert Coins into 2X Coins and 5X Coins, respectively. Also, the Mega Magnet, unlike in Mega Jump, do not convert any other Powerups or Items into Coins, making Magnet Powerup/Boost Star chains much more practical.
Mega Jump 2Edit
Magnets return in Mega Jump 2. However, like the other Powerups in this game, Magnets cannot be upgraded in terms of Powerup strength/usefulness, but only in duration. Because of this, the Magnet Powerup attractive force is much stronger than than that of the starter Magnet Powerups in previous games.
In Mega Jump and Mega Run: Redford's Adventure, Magnets may be upgraded in the Store for a certain amount of Coins.
The normal, blue form of the Magnet is simple. The player can attract Coins to the player at a slow rate.
The green, first upgrade of the Magnet allows the player to attract Coins at a faster rate. In Mega Jump only, this, and all subsequent upgrades provide the character with invincibility.
This is the purple, second upgrade of the Powerup. It again allows the player to attract Coins at an even faster rate. In Mega Run: Redford's Adventure, this upgrade also turns Coins into 2x Coins.
This is the final and most powerful upgrade of the Magnet Powerup. It allows the player to attract Coins at an extremely fast rate, especially in Mega Jump. This turns any object on the screen (including other Magnet Powerups, ironically) into 2x Coins. In Mega Run: Redford's Adventure, this turns any coin or enemy into a 5x Coin.
