Mega Jump 2 is an action arcade video game developed and published by Get Set Games. It is the sequel to Mega Jump, but also contains many similar items and visuals to Mega Run: Redford's Adventure. It was released worldwide on iOS devices on January 16th, 2014. After a hiatus for Android development, it was re-released for Android devices late 2015/early 2016 under the name of a different development team.

GameplayEdit

Like it's prequel, Mega Jump 2 does not have much of a story other than simply Redford and company soaring the skies in order to "get home where they belong". The game plays very similarly to that of Mega Jump, however, unlike Mega Jump, Mega Jump 2 will be an endless jumping game, and it will focus much more on mission-style and item-collecting gameplay. A new feature is that each playable character has special traits to make everyone unique, such as an increase Powerup duration.

ControlsEdit

Similar to Mega Jump, Mega Jump 2 takes advantage of motion controls. The player has to horizontally tilt whatever device they are playing on. If the player tilts left, then the character moves left, and vice versa for right. The player also has to touch the screen to navigate in the game's menus.

AdventuresEdit

Adventures is a new achievement-like feature in Mega Jump 2. It features many new goals for the players to achieve during gameplay.

Mega ModeEdit

Mega Jump 2 features a brand new mechanic called Mega Mode. This is where the player temporarily travels through an alternate, magical realm that is free of enemies and obstacles, and filled with Coins and other items. It appears that Mega Mode is reached when the player collects a certain amount of Tokens.

Development Edit

Mega Jump 2 was revealed for iOS devices on January 7th, 2014 at toucharcade.com[1]. Its creators supposedly started development for it sometime after releasing Mega Run: Redford's Adventure.

After years of desires to release the game for Android devices, Get Set Games gave permission to Yodo1Games to develop the game for Android. In the month of January 2016, the game was finally released to the Play Store.
